Poker Foxes know many ways to win a pot. Poker Hedgehogs know one big thing.
This is one of my favorite article about thinking ahead in poker. This hand seems very passive, indeed it is checked all the way down to the river and then ended with a check-raise. However, in this hand, the Poker Fox is mentally zigging and zagging to formulate different winning plans throughout the hand. None of these plans come together, but then there is the final check-raise bluff that bluffs out a better hand that was bluff catching the same player we planned to bluff catch.
